Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO)

In this stage, they will develop and consolidate their study habits and personal effort, in order to be responsible for their own learning.

In the first three years we work through a common curriculum, and in the fourth year, students choose and take subjects related to their academic and professional future.

12-16 years old

In this stage, which runs from 12 to 16 years of age, the educational project that began in the previous stages (Pre-School and Primary School) continues.

German in ESO

  • Part of the curriculum is taught in German. A high percentage of school time is devoted to this language. We encourage ESO students to spend time in Germany.
  • We have exchanges with schools in the cities of Bremen (in the 1st year), Kassel (in the 2nd year), Mellendorf (in the 3rd year) and Hannover (in the 4th year).

  • We encourage ESO students to spend time in English-speaking countries.

Guidance and support when making decisions

The teaching, tutoring and guidance activities are adapted to each particular case of our students by monitoring their progress to ensure they receive a quality education. In this stage, they receive guidance to help them decide which type of bachillerato* pathway to take.

Learning not to stop learning

Our students learn by deepening the acquisition of knowledge through the use of different active methodologies, such as cooperative learning, project-based learning, service-learning, learning-by-doing, as well as consolidating their computer and office automation skills and encouraging STEAM skills

Getting involved at school

In Secondary school, our students get involved in the organisation of traditional German festivals, developing their entrepreneurial spirit and responsibility, as well as participating in volunteering activities.

Services

All students who need to stay at school for lunch can eat in the dining room, which has its own kitchen and menus prepared by nutrition specialists.

The school has 4 bus routes for all students: in the morning to get to school, at midday to return home for lunch and in the afternoon to return home from school.

If you need a childcare service for your children, students of any age can make use of this service on a regular or sporadic basis.
