Extracurricular activities for the 2022-2023 academic year

Extracurricular activities are recreational and educational and take place outside school hours.

They are important because they strengthen the feeling of belonging to the group and to the school, allowing, on many occasions, students to establish relationships with other school groups in our city.

Extracurricular activities

The objectives of the extracurricular activities offered by the School are:

  • To improve the comprehensive training of our students
  • To develop their skills
  • To enrich their leisure time
  • To improve their interpersonal relationships
  • To favour their responsibility, personal values and independence
  • To reinforce their creative, sporting and/or musical skills

Activities for all stages

Colegio Alemán in Zaragoza offers a wide range of extracurricular activities for the different stages and ages of the students.

Pre-School: Wednesday from 1:50 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.

Primary School: 1st and 2nd of Primary, Tuesday and Thursday from 1:50 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. – 3rd of Primary to 6th of Primary, Wednesday and Friday from 1:50 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.

ESO and Bachillerato*: Thursday from 1:50 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.

  • Comprehensive development of the child, improving their physical and mental capacity.
  • It boosts motor skills, knowledge of the body chart, and the practical resolution of daily life problems.
  • Coordination and movement exercises, non-competitive and pre-sports games.

Pre-School: Monday and Wednesday from 1:50 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.

Primary School: Tuesday and Thursday (1st and 2nd) / Monday and Friday (3rd to 6th) from 1:50 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.

ESO and Bachillerato*: Wednesday (1st to 4th ESO) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Acquisition of basic motor skills through the body and its possibilities of movement.
  • Development of body expression through the interaction of the body with music, space and equipment.
  • Work on body technique through flexibility, balance, jumps and turns.

Pre-School: Monday from 5:05 p.m. to 6:05 p.m.

Primary School: Tuesday and Thursday from 5:05 p.m. to 6:05 p.m.

  • Improved attitude towards peers and teachers, learning to channel energy and deal with frustration in pairs and as a team.
  • Development of dexterity, reflexes and reactions.
  • Introduction and kata work (from primary school onwards).

Pre-School: Wednesday from 1:50 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.

Primary School: Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  • Learn how to put on skates and protective equipment alone and to understand their purpose.
  • Learning basic movement and positioning, falling and getting up safely, changing direction, speed and braking.

Pre-School: Tuesday and Thursday from 5:05 p.m. to 6:05 p.m.

Primary School: Monday and Wednesday (1st and 2nd), Monday and Wednesday (3rd and 4th), Tuesday and Thursday (5th and 6th) from 5:05 p.m. to 6:05 p.m.

ESO and Bachillerato*: Tuesday and Thursday (1st and 2nd of ESO), Wednesday and Friday (3rd and 4th of ESO), Wednesday and Friday (Bachillerato*) from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

  • Improvement of the basic and specific motor skills used in football by practising.
  • Understanding of how the game works and some of the basic rules.
  • Benefits of practising a variety of sports.

Pre-School: Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Primary School: Friday from 5:05 p.m. to 6:05 p.m. September Intensive

  • Education with water as a means of exploration and experimentation of movements to achieve water mastery.
  • Activity carried out at Casablanca stadium’s facilities by qualified and experienced club staff.

Other school activities

Rhythmic Gymnastics, Skating, Judo, Karate and Indoor Football which have already been described above in the different stages increase in content following a motor and skills progression. The following is a description of the other activities that are on offer for:
